Cacao and Almond Mylk

Now this is a recipe I'm seriously proud of.

I love the smoothies and juices from Blend and Press after I was introduced to them through Frame when I did their detox programme. It was a couple of years ago and I'd been away in Asia for nearly two weeks (just like I'm embarking on now!) and was desperate for a cleanse. As part of the programme we had two days juicing and I fell in love with Blend & Press's Energizer Smoothie.

I realised recently I actually have all the right ingredients in my cupboard now to have a go making my own (although I still recommend you try Blend & Press!), and here is the result.  

This is so easy to make and when I'm on the run in the morning it's a great one to do with cupboard staples. Stick a cube of ice in it and take on the go, nice and chilled.

PREP TIME : 5 minutes
COOK TIME: 0 minutes 

INGREDIENTS

  • 200ml almond milk 
  • 100ml coconut milk
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1 tsp cacao powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 
  • 1 tsp hemp protein powder 
  • 1/2 banana (ideally frozen) 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blitz until combined!
