Despite all the hype about turmeric and its fantastic health benefits, I have really struggled to find a turmeric smoothie recipe that I actually enjoyed, until now.
A few months back I tried this one which was inspired by Nurture With Ali on Instagram. But replacing the honey with rice malt syrup (to reduce sugar content, have a read more about this here) didn't exactly result in a drink I was desperate to try again.
So this version I think has the key: coconut milk. It's natural sweetness really helps with this recipe, along with the little bit of pineapple too!
Hope this smoothie brings some yellow sunshine to your day, no matter what the weather.

PREP TIME: 5 minutes
- 130g pineapple
- 1 can coconut milk (400ml)
- 1 banana
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3cm fresh ginger root, minced or finely sliced
- 2 tsp turmeric (or more, add to taste and enhance that zingy yellow colour)
1. Place all ingredients in a nutribullet or food processor and blitz until smooth. Serve over ice.
