I moved from London to Dublin a little over a year ago now. And I haven’t once looked back or regretted it. More than anything I’ve managed to build a community around me of new friends, work and support. If you’re thinking about doing the same as me, here are a few things I’ve done to create a life full of friends and opportunity in my new home that you could try too.
Have you ever tried raw cookies? You have to suspend your expectation of what the word ‘cookie’ is before taking a bite. They’re a bit like raw cookie dough, but some might say that’s the best way! These ones have a real zing with lemon and ginger.
I absolutely love it when you guys ask me questions. So when a question came in via my Facebook page recently about detoxes I just had to share the advice and resources I offered and tell you all why I think detoxes aren’t the answer.
A friend called me the other week asking for advice. He'd reached a point where he was considering leaving his job and wasn't sure what the next step was. Do you ever get the feeling the universe is shouting something at you really loudly? Like it just won’t shut up until you accept what it’s telling you? That’s how I feel about this question: What does success mean to you?
Creamy is my word of the moment with food, I’m totally obsessed with it. And polenta is an ingredient I’ve been wanting to get my hands on for a while but just didn’t know where to start. Aside from a cake (and chips!) here’s a lovely hearty bowl, lightened with a little cauliflower.
I talked last week about how I've been struggling for over a year to define who I am and what I do. One of the possible titles that has come up for me in trying to get to that perfect 'elevator pitch' and succinctly summarise what I do is.... space holder. Have a read of what that title means to me.
So I feel like I’ve never been 100% honest with you about my work. And that needs to change. Because I want this blog to be more about work and health together going forward and that means telling you my story and how I got to where I am today.
